Our approach to privacy
CasinoVerif Cameroun aims to collect less, explain information clearly, and avoid asking for details that are not needed for a specific purpose. This policy describes the privacy principles for visitors using the English-language service and its informational content.
The service provides information about gambling operators, payments, licensing, complaints and safer play in Cameroon. It is not a gambling operator, payment provider, bank or government authority. Reading information here does not create a customer account with a gambling operator and does not require you to disclose your identity to us.
Information you choose to provide
You may contact us through an available contact method. If you do, the information you enter may include your name, email address, message and any other detail you decide to include. Please do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, mobile-money PINs, identity documents or other confidential credentials through a general contact form.
Only provide information needed to explain your request. If your message concerns a complaint, suspected scam or payment dispute, remove unnecessary personal details and keep copies of any documents for yourself. We cannot promise that a message sent over the internet will be completely confidential while it is being transmitted.
Information created when you visit
A website may receive technical information needed to deliver and protect content, such as a browser type, device information, approximate location derived from network data, time of access and pages requested. The exact information collected depends on the hosting, security and measurement tools active at the time of your visit.
This policy does not claim that every listed category is collected on every visit. We aim to keep technical information limited to what is reasonably required for security, reliability, basic measurement or communication. Where an optional measurement or similar tool is used, you should be given a meaningful choice where applicable.
Cookies and similar tools
Small files or comparable technologies may be used to remember a preference, support essential functions, protect the service or understand general use. Essential technologies are different from optional measurement tools: the first may be needed for delivery, while the second should be limited and explained.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may affect some functions, but it should not prevent you from choosing whether to share unnecessary information. Browser settings are controlled by you and may differ between phones, computers and browsers.
Why information may be used
Information may be used to respond to a request, maintain service security, investigate misuse, improve clarity, understand broad usage patterns, or meet a valid legal or regulatory requirement. Information should not be used for an unrelated purpose merely because it was available.
Cameroon’s gambling framework includes regimes and controls for games of entertainment, money and chance under the decree and law identified in the source record. That regulatory context does not give this informational service permission to collect unlimited personal information. A legal or compliance request should be specific, necessary and handled with appropriate care.
Gambling information and payments
Content may discuss operators, payment methods and mobile gambling. The supplied tax authority material refers to games organised through mobile phones and states a 15% rate in the text consulted. That tax information does not tell us what personal information a particular operator collects, how long it keeps it, or whether a payment will succeed.
The BEAC is the monetary authority of CEMAC, and BEAC CFA francs are the market’s reference currency. This monetary context does not mean that CasinoVerif Cameroun processes deposits, withdrawals or wagers. We do not ask visitors to send us money, payment credentials or mobile-money security codes.
For an operator’s own data practices, read that operator’s privacy notice and terms before registering. Do not assume that a review or general explanation replaces the operator’s direct disclosures. You can also consult our payment checks and Cameroon gambling licence guide for verification questions.
Sharing and service providers
We do not present a promise that information will never be processed by another party. Website hosting, security, email delivery, analytics or technical maintenance may require carefully limited access, depending on the tools in use. Any such access should be connected to a defined service purpose rather than broad commercial reuse.
Information may also be disclosed when required by a lawful request, to protect the service or another person from serious misuse, or to establish or defend a legal position. We do not publish a visitor’s private message as a warning or case study without a proper basis. If you want to report a suspected scam, share only the minimum details needed and remove unrelated identities or account information.
Retention and security
Information should be kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received, for security records, or for a legal obligation. Retention can differ between a contact message, a technical security record and an aggregated measurement record.
No online transmission or storage system is risk-free. We therefore recommend using a secure connection, keeping account credentials private, and checking the recipient before sending sensitive material. We will not ask for a gambling password, payment PIN or one-time security code through an unsolicited message.
Your choices and requests
You may choose not to provide optional information. You may also ask what information is associated with a message you sent, request correction of an error, or ask for deletion where there is no overriding reason to retain it. We may need enough information to identify the relevant request without collecting more than is necessary.
A request may be limited by security, legal duties, another person’s privacy or the need to preserve a record of suspected misuse. If we cannot complete a request, we should explain the reason in plain language. Use contact for privacy questions and avoid including identity documents or financial credentials unless a specific, verified process expressly requires them.
Children and vulnerable users
The information is not intended to encourage gambling by children. Do not send a child’s personal information through a contact channel. If gambling is causing distress, financial pressure or loss of control, practical support is more important than further gambling information. Our responsible gambling guidance and urgent help information provide safer next steps.

Updates and contact
Privacy practices and available technical tools can change. When a material change is made, the version displayed at this route should be reviewed before continuing to use the service. The checked source record for the Ministry of Territorial Administration provides general contact details and official numbers for police, gendarmerie, firefighters and SAMU; those channels are for urgent or official assistance, not routine website privacy questions.
For a routine privacy request, contact us through the available service channel. Describe the issue, identify the relevant date if known, and send only the minimum information needed. This policy is intended to make choices clearer; it does not create a promise about the private practices of any separate gambling operator.
Do I need to create an account to read the service?
No account with a gambling operator is created simply by reading informational content, and you are not required to disclose your identity to read it.
What should I avoid sending through a contact form?
Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, mobile-money PINs, identity documents or one-time security codes through a general contact channel.
Can I ask for information linked to my message to be corrected or deleted?
You may request access, correction or deletion where there is no overriding reason to retain the information. A request may be limited by security, legal duties or another person’s privacy.
Does this service process deposits or withdrawals?
No. The service provides information and does not process deposits, withdrawals or wagers. Operator payment and privacy practices must be checked with the operator directly.
Who should I contact about an urgent danger?
For urgent or official assistance, use the appropriate authority channels. The checked Ministry of Territorial Administration record provides general contacts and official numbers for police, gendarmerie, firefighters and SAMU.
